Urban Camino:

Discovering God’s presence in the City

Our Urban Caminos offer a unique full day opportunity to experience New York City as a place where we can encounter God in the midst of the city’s busyness, noise, frenetic pace, and distractions. These guided contemplative walks lead us through different city routes, inviting us to slow down, be present, and hear God’s voice.

Together, we engage our five senses in a way that fosters awareness of God, life, and our own inner being. These gatherings become more than walks; they are journeys of connection, discovery, and cultivating our friendship with God.

Experiences:

Journey Through Shared Stories

Transformation and healing happen when we tell our stories in the presence of a community. When you share about your struggles and joys in a safe, openhearted space with others, you experience a sacred space where…

  • you are seen and heard

  • your relationship with others and God is strengthened

  • you are attuned to God’s presence

  • your difficult life experiences become redeemed.

Come discover how our storytelling gatherings deepen your understanding of yourself and lead to greater wholeness. Each meeting centers around a topic, inviting participants to share personal stories that resonate with the focus. Afterwards, the group engages in contemplative exercises that encourage further reflection on the theme.

These sessions are typically 3 hours long and are available virtually and in person. You’ll leave seeing how your story is honorable and worthy.

Workshops

We offer customized, interactive spaces that incorporate teaching and guidance in practices and topics such as Rule of Life, Enneagram, Discernment, Spiritual Friendship, and more. Contact us to learn about ways we can provide your next workshop!

Soul Care Cohorts

A Communal Soul Sabbath For Teams

Soul Care cohorts are a geographically accessible, financially affordable ministry care program designed for ministry and organizational leadership teams that can be attended and sustained within their regular rhythm of ministry and life.

We create spaces for participants to listen and pay attention to how God would like to minister to and care for them as beloved through an experience that includes:

  • a mini silent retreat

  • being led through various contemplative exercises, capacity building workshops, and reflective prompts

  • an introduction to group spiritual direction.

Each cohort is comprised of 5-8 people committed to meeting together for 3 hours/session, over 5-6 sessions during a set timeframe.

  • “It was a soul soothing experience of just being me while exploring the city using my natural senses to let God and me just be, without hurry. The walking helped me notice details that I would usually miss in the city, and the group dynamic solidified that I wasn't alone in my curiosity.”

    -Urban Camino Participant

  • "I felt God moving in surprising ways during our sessions together. I had different takeaways from each session. This is my first time expressing and responding to God via drawing, writing a poem, or benediction. I wouldn't have guessed that I would like it, honestly, but I really did."

    -Cohort Participant

  • "I was convicted about the value of group listening in my spiritual life. By bearing witness to what God is doing in my life, I feel more seen and known by others and God."
